I just read a book on public speaking with an unusual angle.
The book's message is summed up in it's title, There's No Such Thing as Public Speaking. It is by Jeanette and Roy Henderson who train and coach speakers.
The book is organized by specific truths, steps, elements, tools, and insights. Truth # 3 gets to the heart of the authors' arguement: "...every communication is just a conversation, no matter how many people may be listening." They propose that every speaker's goal should be to try to form an allience with the audience.
Good book. Interesting slant.
